Fanshawe College welcomed representatives from TD Canada Trust to a celebration held at the new Community Employment Services (CES) office in the Nelson Park Plaza on Jan. 20.
The occasion was a chance for Fanshawe to say thank-you to TD Canada Trust for their contribution of a two-year lease on what was formerly a bank branch in the plaza.
Officially opened in June of 2011, the CES office currently serves over 450 local clients, assisting them in the job search process. They offer clients a variety of services ranging from help in resume writing to skills workshops. As well, CES consultants can help clients explore other training options such as apprenticeships or returning to school.
Companies and businesses in the area also can access CES to help them in a number of areas from locating area resources to assisting in recruiting new employees.
