Photo by Mike Maloney/London Community News/Twitter: mdmaloneyphoto In recognition of their significant achievements and contributions to the community, 29 deserving local residents were presented with Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals in a ceremony held at the Windermere Manor on Thursday night (Aug. 23). The Jubilee commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne. In all, 60,000 Canadians from across the country and various walks of life will be recognized with the award this year. The London recipients honoured with this award included:
