Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of London (formerly Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts) is finishing up the installation of more than $7,000 in home comfort equipment — including a brand-new Lennox furnace — the company donated to a local family with a chronically ill daughter.
Larry and Yvonne Kalybabas, parents to two-year-old Natilia, and four-year-old Bohben, face expensive renovations to make their home wheelchair accessible, and as part of the home inspection, they discovered the 15-year-old furnace was not going to last much longer. When they contacted Service Experts for an estimate, the family got more than they bargained for!
“The family didn’t ask for a single discount, or any special consideration,” said Peter Inch, area operations manager. “Instead, my team came to me, and asked if we could give them the furnace at a reduced price. We contacted Lennox and within 24 hours, they said they would give us an EL296 furnace for free.”
Service Experts is also donating a humidifier and a high-end air filter with the maximum rating (MERV 16), which removes indoor air contaminants such as allergens, bacteria and viruses, ensuring a better environment for the children. The technicians will install the equipment for free, reconfigure the necessary ductwork and provided all parts and materials, warranties and ongoing maintenance. A partner company, Northern Interiors, will remove asbestos from the home at no charge.
Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts, located at 3500 White Oak Road, Unit B1, London, has 30 employees. The company is in its 85th year of operation and the third-generation of the family remains actively involved.
