The Western Fair District Agriplex was rocking to the sounds of Tom Cochrane and Red Rider on Saturday night (Nov. 2), the featured surprise entertainers for the annual Country Classic Auction (CCA) in support of London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC).
An estimated 1,200 guest were on hand the 26th edition of what has arguably become the Forest City’s largest annual fundraising event.
This year, proceeds raised through the the auction of 370 silent, 17 “super” silent and 23 live auction items is being targeted at the acquisition, development, use of and training of minimally invasive surgical technologies at LHSC.
“This is just another fantastic year,” said Dan Ross, president and CEO of London Health Sciences Foundation. Remarking that this was possibly the largest crowd to date for the CCA, Ross thanked sponsors, donors, guests and volunteers alike, all who combined to make the event such a success. “Another tremendous turnout and another night of absolutely fantastic support for the hospital and the foundation.”
Over the course of the CCA’s past 25 years, in excess of $8.1 has been raised for a variety of programs and initiatives at the hospital.
