The tunes were cranked up and the pins were coming down at Palasad South on Monday night (March 24) as close to 160 people came out to take part in the annual Roll and Bowl fundraiser for Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Ontario.
Now into its fourth year, the event was open to participants of all ages, skills and ability with the goal of raising money to support programs and services through SCI Ontario for persons with spinal cord injuries.
In addition to fun on the lanes, the event also featured a silent action, basket raffle and prizes for highest score and strike challenge.
Thanks to the generous support of sponsors and participants, Rock and Bowl once again exceeded organizers expectations, raising more than $22,000 for the cause.
SCI Ontario assists people with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities to achieve independence, self-reliance and full community participation. For more information on the organization, visit their website, www.sciontario.org.
