In the midst of a frenetic festival-filled summer schedule, kicking back in the Forest City to pull a few beers for a few fans was a nice change of pace for Sam Roberts.
The Montreal-born Juno award-winning rocker was at Covent Garden Market Saturday (Aug. 16), pulling pints of the Spearhead beer named for his band at a festival in Toronto earlier this summer.
He served some of the hundreds of people who braved the clouds and occasional showers to try out more than 15 craft brewers and take part in beer pairing workshops safely out of the rain at Upstairs at the Market at the Forest City Beer Fest.
He said after spending weeks on the road touring, serving beer for fans in London is about “as good as it gets” for a weary bard.
Roberts was at the festival ahead of getting back to his day job at Rockin Wheel in Mount Brydges later that night.
