If you have a few old tires lying around in your garage or up against the back fence and want to get rid of them, then this might just be the best time to do it.
Once again, the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA) and the Ontario Tire Stewardship are joining force to hold the third annual OARA Tire Take Back event, running between May 28 to June 2.
“Take your tires into participating auto recyclers and they will end up donating about $2 per tire to the Sunshine Foundation of Canada,” said OARA representative Steve Fletcher.
The goal of this year’s campaign is to raise over $100,000 for the Sunshine Foundation, a charity that helps fulfill the dreams of children with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
In London, one of the participating recyclers is Corey Auto Wreckers. In a media release, Corey’s manager David Wyatt, said they are pleased to once again be supporting the Sunshine Foundation. “This is a great way to give back to the community and help keep the environment clean.”
