On Wednesday (June 27), Environment Canada issued a humidex advisory, warning of very hot and humid weather for tomorrow in Windsor-Essex-Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton and London-Middlesex.
A very hot air mass over the Midwestern United States will move into extreme southwestern Ontario on Thursday. Humidex values are expected to reach near 43 in the Windsor area and 40 to 41 in the London and Sarnia area.
On Friday, humidex values are expected to lower slightly, just reaching the warning criteria of 40 near Windsor, while slipping to the mid to upper thirties in the London and Sarnia areas.
Afternoon humidex values are expected to be generally in the mid to upper thirties over the weekend.
