Police request public’s help in identifying urn

Our London

The London Police Service is requesting assistance with identifying the owner of an urn.

On Oct. 18, 2012, police located an urn under a vehicle in the underground parking at 860 Commissioners Rd. E. after being notified by a citizen. The owner of the urn has not been identified.

"We were hoping someone would have contacted us and were holding on to it for as long as possible for that reason," said London Police Service Const. Ken Steeves

Two cemeteries have been extremely helpful with efforts in identifying the deceased, unfortunately with no success. Most urns have a metal tag that names the crematorium or funeral home, as well as a number that would identify the deceased, but there isn't one on this particular urn, Steeves said.

If anyone has any information that will assist with identifying the owner, please contact the London Police Service at 519-661-5670.
