Ivey students make an impact

Our London

Ivey Business School at Western University MBA students Farah Lalani, Graham O'Neill, Aviviere Telang and Deep Agrawal spent Monday (July 7) lending a hand at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore on Adelaide Street.

They were just four of more than 100 Ivey students "paying it forward" to the community by donating volunteer hours with five, local non-profit organizations — ReForest London, The Mission Store, Rotholme Women’s & Family Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, and Unity Project — as part of the annual Ivey Impact Day.

“As part of our program, we study business, said Lalani. “But part of that is not just looking at how to help businesses but to also how to help non-profits and charities.”

Of the five organizations involved this year, the choice of helping out at Habitat was an easy one for Lalani. “I think shelter is a basic need so doing something to help people have a roof over their head is pretty important.”
