London police have arrested a man in relation to two suspicious deaths.
The man was arrested around 11 p.m. Sunday night (July 13) after the OPP determined their suspect in the suspicious death of a woman in Lambton had ties to the Forest City.
According to the OPP, the woman was found in a private residence in the 5800 block of Arkona Road around 9 p.m. Officers had been called to check on the welfare of individuals at the address according to Const. Todd Monaghan, who wouldn't release any other information about the suspect or the victims at this "early" stage in the investigation.
Called for assistance, London police found a man dead in a car in a parking lot near Richmond Street and Queens Avenue at about 10:45 p.m. Sunday night.
The adult male suspect was arrested about 15 minutes later by London police officers.
Lambton OPP reported Monday (July 14) they are not looking for any other suspects “as this is an isolated incident and there is no risk to the public.”
Arkona Road is currently closed between Zion Line and Egremont Road and is expected to remain closed for several hours while the OPP investigation continues.
Led by Acting Det. Insp. Heidi Stewart, the investigation is in the early stages and further information will be released as it becomes available.
