A London man has been charged with manslaughter after the victim of an alleged domestic assault in September died in hospital.
The charge relates back to a Sept. 1 incident when Katherine Adam, 58, was brought to hospital in distress due to “serious traumatic injuries” sustained during an assault at a residence at 241 Simcoe St.
Her common law partner William Wayne Feather, 47 of London was arrested at the time and charged with aggravated assault. He’s been in custody ever since. Two weeks after the assault, Adam succumbed to her injuries in hospital and police continued their investigation in consultation with the West Region Coroner, the Crown attorney’s office and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
As a result, Feather is now charged with manslaughter and is due to appear in court on Monday (July 21).
The charge hasn’t been proven in court.
