Pedestrian killed at Oshawa intersection

OSHAWA, Ont. - A pedestrian is dead after a collision in Oshawa, east of Toronto.

Durham region police say 20-year-old Keegan Coupland, of Oshawa, was crossing at an intersection (at King Street East and Park Road South) around 6:20 a.m. Saturday when he was struck.

He was transported to hospital, where he was declared dead.

Police say the driver of the vehicle is co-operating.

The force's traffic squad is investigating.
