A whiff of booze, a failed roadside test and some marijuana to boot have landed a Londoner in hot water with police.
According to Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a RIDE program on Hamilton Road by Mill Road in Thames Centre when they detected alcohol on the breath of a driver who came to the spot check. The driver was arrested after failing a roadside test.
Further investigation revealed the driver was in possession of a substance suspected as marijuana. The accused was brought to a local police detachment for further tests.
Joseph Palko, 37 of London, is charged with over 80 and possession of marijuana under 30 grams.
He was released from custody with a Feb. 27 court date.
Neither charge has been proven in court.
