UPDATE: St. Thomas man identified after suspicious death

St. Thomas-Elgin Weekly News

UPDATE: A 36-year-old man found dead at about 7 p.m. Dec. 25 has been identified as Danny DiGiandomenico. St. Thomas police say he died as a result of “sharp force trauma” and that the death is being treated as a suspicious incident.

DiGiandomenico was a resident of the Talbot Street building in which he died and was the owner of the Upper Deck Restaurant on Elm St. at Fairview Ave.

No suspects have been identified yet, police said, and no arrests have occurred.

According to DiGiandomenico's obituary, there will be no public visitation.

The Criminal Investigations Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit are involved in the continuing investigation.

An autopsy was conducted over the weekend.
