Update - Arrest made in robbery

Update — London police have arrested a suspect they were seeking in conjunction with a robbery earlier this week.

Paul  Wayne O'Connell was arrested at an East London residence and taken into custody without incident on Jan. 16.

O'Connell stands charged with one count of  robbery and one count of  break and enter.

These charges have not be proven in court.




London police are asking for the public’s help in finding a robbery suspect who is described as dangerous.

On Jan. 13 at approximately 8:50 p.m., a resident answered a knock at the door of his Trafalgar Street address. A man who is known to the victim entered the residence, assaulted the victim, and stole his medication. The victim sustained injuries that did not require medical treatment.

As a result of the investigation, Paul Wayne O’Connell, 43, is wanted for a pair of charges: break and enter to commit a robbery, and robbery.

These charges have not be proven in court.

Police officials emphasize the man is considered dangerous and should not be approached. The London Police Service is advising that members of the general public have no authority to detain this individual.
