London Police have identified a second suspect in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Jeremy Cook.
On Monday, cops said they have applied for a Canada-wide arrest warrant for 24-year-old Mohamed Ibrahim Sail of Calgary on a charge of second-degree murder. Sail’s current whereabouts are unknown and he's considered dangerous.
The body of a second man wanted in relation to Cook’s murder, Muhab Sultan, was pulled from the Rideau River in Ottawa on June 30. Sultan’s death remains under investigation by the Special Investigation Unit.
A third person who had been seen leaving the area just prior to the June 14 shooting of Cook has been identified but still refuses to co-operated with police.
Cook was shot on June 14 in the area of Highbury Avenue and Huron Street after becoming involved in an altercation while trying to retrieve a cellphone he had left in a cab earlier that evening.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
