School bus involved in multi-vehicle crash

GUELPH, Ont. — A 17-year-old has been charged with a traffic offence after allegedly causing a collision between a school bus and three other cars.

Police in Guelph, Ont., say the accident occurred Tuesday shortly after 9 a.m.

Police allege the teen, who was driving a car, was trying to pass the school bus as it was stopping to pick up passengers.

The car collided with the bus and a nearby pickup truck, which then collided head-on with another car.

Police say one passenger on the bus and the driver of the car that collided head-on with the pickup sustained minor injuries.

The teen is charged with change lanes not in safety under the Highway Traffic Act.
