Police search for inappropriate touching suspects

Our London

London Police Service are looking for two men driving unlicensed cabs this past weekend after a pair of women were inappropriately touched in two separate incidents.

Early Sunday morning, March 6, an adult woman left a bar in the downtown area at approximately 1 a.m.

The woman entered a vehicle, which she believed was an unmarked cab, and requested a ride.

While en route to her destination, the driver began touching the female inappropriately. She rejected his advances and exited the vehicle.

The suspect vehicle is described as a beige or grey SUV (possibly a Toyota). The driver is described as a man with a tanned complexion and a slight accent, 50-60 years old, with short white/grey hair, scruffy facial hair, and wearing thin square-framed glasses.

In the second incident, an adult female left a different bar in the downtown area just before 2 a.m.

This woman also entered a vehicle, which she believed was an unmarked cab.

While en route to her destination, the male driver kissed and touched the woman inappropriately.

The woman attempted to exit the vehicle, but the driver prevented her from doing so. She eventually was able to exit the car.

The vehicle in this incident is described as a four-door black sedan with leather interior. The driver is described as a male in his mid to late 20’s, possibly of middle-eastern decent, approximately 5-foot-8 (173cm) with a slim to medium build, clean shaven, with black hair.

Neither of the victims sustained injuries as a result of these incidents.

The London Police Service wishes to encourage citizens to be aware from whom they accept rides, and to not enter vehicles that are unfamiliar to them.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
