The London Knights are causing problems outside of the penalty box.
On Friday (Jan. 25), the Knights were a little too rowdy at a Kingston hotel by roughhousing in their rooms and in the hallways, causing patrons to complain, hotel staff to get involved and police intervening.
No charges were laid as, “There was absolutely no violation of the law,” said Knights general manager and vice-president Mark Hunter in a statement.
“In no way did the London Knights mean to disrupt or disrespect any other guests, patrons or staff of the hotel,” Mark added. “We sincerely apologize for our player's involvement in this incident. There is no excuse for their behaviour. “
According to the statement, team officials met individually with hotel staff and complainants Saturday morning (Jan. 26) before holding a full team meeting lead by head coach and owner Dale Hunter where discipline was handed out.
"The London Knights see their players as role models within the community and ambassadors of the London Knights brand," Mark added. "Their behaviour on Friday night was unacceptable."
