Ghosts send Trojans back to Clarke Road empty-handed

Our London

Action is heating up across the region as the Thames Valley Regional Athletic Association (TVRAA) fall season shifts into playoff mode.

On Tuesday (Nov. 4), a full slate of Central Division girl’s basketball quarter-final pairings hit the courts of London.

One of those included the senior girl’s contest between the Clarke Road Secondary School Trojans and Central Secondary School Ghosts.

Stepping onto the floor hot on the heels of a 44-40 win over Saunders Secondary School the day before, Central seemed intent to continuing their winning ways.

Making the most of home court advantage, the Ghosts effectively shut down the Trojan offence, holding them to 29 points while counting for 51 of their own. The win secures Central a berth in Thursday’s (Nov. 6) semifinals where they will go up against the Rams at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School.
