CCH crusades past John Paul II

Our London

The Catholic Central Crusaders did a little ground-and-pound offence Nov. 7 to beat the John Paul II Jaguars 34-8 at TD Stadium in the TVDSB London District senior boys football semifinal.

Hard-nosed running back Micah Sullivan and speedster Sonachi Uzoegwu were human wrecking balls for the Crusaders and eat up a lot of yards on the ground.

The pair produced most of CCH’s points, splitting four touchdowns between them.

By halftime the score was in 21-1, the Jaguars’ lone point coming from a missed field goal and not letting the Crusaders out of their own end zone.

It wasn’t all just rushing touchdowns with Andrew Theriault connecting with Pearson Brown from 12 yards out.

CCH will meet up with St. Thomas Aquinas in the London District final.
