Museum London’s Third Thursday event kicks off this month with a night of blues and art making.
Third Thursday is a new monthly cultural event that launches Thursday (Jan. 17) at 7 p.m. with a live performance by award-winning blues band Saigon Pharmacy. January’s event is in partnership with Bluesfest London and also features door prizes, a silent auction, cash bar, exhibition tours, and a drop-in art workshop with Craft Lab.
Admission is $5 per person with tickets available at the door and online at www.museumlondon.ca. Attendees who purchase their tickets online will be entered into special draw for door prizes.
Prizes and auction items include: original rhythmic painting by artist Gina Duque, autographed Bluesfest London poster, $100 gift certificate for any Museum London art class, two tickets to the Domestic Arrivals Festival of Canadian Film, two $25 gift certificates to Premier Designated Driver, plus more prizes from Molson, Mike’s Hard Lemonade Co., Dawghouse, Cherry Picker Guitars, and Radical Guitars.
As Southwestern Ontario's leading establishment for the collection and presentation of visual art and material culture, the Museum London (421 Ridout St. N.) collection has more than 5,000 regional and Canadian artworks and 45,000 artifacts, which reflect the history of the City of London.
