If you love chocolates, Are You Sweet Enough?, a new community-produced show set to premiere on Rogers TV, Cable 13 on Monday (Jan. 28) at 7:30 p.m. is sure to tempt your taste buds. During the eight-part series, local contestants will vie to be crowned London’s next chocolatier apprentice.
Watch each week, as the contestants participate in a variety of fun, yet demanding specialty chocolate-making challenges under the guidance of the show’s Host, Marc Forrat, owner of Forrat’s Chocolates. Forrat and Paulo Silva are also the Community-Producers. Who will be the last chocolatier standing and be offered an opportunity that could change their life?
“Chocolate has always been my passion and it has allowed me to do some pretty amazing things in my life. Now, I have the opportunity to bring someone along with me. Success can be sweet, but to get there we need to learn some bitter lessons about business,” said Forrat in a news release.
On the first episode, the contestants work closely with students from Fanshawe College’s culinary program to create a delicious chocolate dessert using a limited number of ingredients. Other episodes feature the construction of chocolate centerpieces for a wedding, making chocolate clusters at Forrat’s Hamilton Road production facility where the contestants get recipe instructions from 11-year-old kids, and in partnership with Fanshawe College’s business students, produce business plans and sell chocolates on campus.
Encore episodes will run on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 11 a.m. For additional air times, please rogerstv.com.
